A: You want me to say no, dont you? It does hurt a little, but its nothing you cant handle.
Q: Where is the least painful place to get tattooed?
A: I would say the upper arm.
Q: How safe is it?
A: We use the same sterilisation procedures as hospitals. All needles are single use only, you can watch your needles being opened in front of you. Dont worry.
Q: I've heard stories of people passing out whilst being tattooed.
A: Unfortunatley this does happen from time to time. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the pain. People pass out for one of two reasons 1.They havent eaten properly before getting tattooed and their blood sugar levels are low or 2. They come into the studio so nervous that their blood pressure is sky high, when I start to tattoo them they relax and their blood pressure drops sharply, causing them to feel light headed and dizzy. Once again dont worry, all our staff are trained in First Aid procedures and will look after you if you start to feel queasy during your tattoo.
Q: How long does a tattoo take to heal?
A: Usually around 7-10 days. We will provide you with full aftercare instructions and we are always at the end of the phone to offer help and advice.
Q: Do I have to pick one of your designs or can I bring my own?
A: We have over 100,000 designs for you to choose from but you are quite welcome to bring in your own. Some designs do not lend themselves well to the tattooing process and we may have to re-draw your design. We do not charge for this service.
Q: How much do tattoos cost?
A: Our minimum charge is £15, this will get you a name or maybe a small kanji symbol. An average 4"x4" tattoo will cost you in the region of £50-£60. A full back tattoo will run into £1000's. Just remember that Quality remains long after the cost is forgotten. It's there for life.
Q: Do I need to make an appointment?
A: Usually yes, sometimes we can fit smaller tattoos into our schedule but larger pieces nearly always require an appointment. Waiting times vary throughout the year. November through to March is usually around 1-2 weeks , Summer is a bit busier and you could find yourself waiting3-4 weeks for your tattoo. I Guarantee it will be worth it.
Q: Can I book an appointment over the phone or online?
A: No. We need to see you in person and know exactly what you require. Also a 50% deposit is required to secure an appointment.
Q: Do you do piercing?
A No, We do not offer a piercing service at this present time.
Q: How do I become a tattooist?
A: Don't ask this. I have been asked this question so many times it has become irritating. If you really had the drive and determination needed to become a tattoo artist you wouldn't need to ask. Do yourself a favour and stick with your present job.
Q: Is that really your Hummer on your biography page?
